Postoperatively, he developed low-grade fever and dyspnoea. Chest X-rays showed progressive lung infiltrates, which was subsequently diagnosed to be Bronchiolitis Obliterans Organizing Pneumonia (BOOP) by transbronchial lung biopsy. He responded well to corticosteroid therapy.
